?Agency: The entity responsible for the administering of a research grant, project, or contract. This may represent a federal department, agency, or sub-agency (institute or center). Details on agencies in Federal RePORTER.
?Fiscal Year: Choose "All" or combination of one or more prior fiscal years to return awards funded in the selected years.
Federal RePORTER contains awards data for the past 10 fiscal years.

Researcher & Organization

?Principal Investigator/Project Leader: The individual designated by the grantee to direct the project supported by the grant. Searches for projects conducted by a particular individual can either be performed by entering their last name, first name, or both.
Click on the "Enter Several PI/Project Leaders" link to search projects for more than one PI/Project Leaders. A maximum of 100 entries are allowed at a time. Each name pair (first name and/or last name) must be separated by a semi-colon. Use the %wildcard feature when only partial information is known. Order of first and last name does not matter.
Examples, "Firstname LastName;" or "Lastname, Firstname M;" or "Lastname Firstname;" or "Lastname;" or "Firstname;”.

Enter single PI/Project Leader name

? Organization: An institution that receives a grant, contract or cooperative agreement. The LOOKUP feature will offer selections that meet the 3-character minimum user entry that occur anywhere in the organizations name.

Please enter at least 3 characters to use Lookup.

?DUNS Number: Search for grants associated with a specific DUNS Number. Enter the unique number assigned by Dun and Bradstreet Information Services.
?City: Enter the name of a city. You may use the %wildcard feature if not all of the spelling is known. The city to which each grant is assigned is based on the business address of the grantee organization or contractor, not the actual location where the research being performed.

?State: The 50 United States and the 5 Territories are available to be selected individually or by geographical groupings: Central States, Eastern States, Southern States, Western States, U.S. Territories.
?Country: The United States and Territories is followed by an alphabetical listing of the world's countries from which any or all may be selected. The country to which each grant is assigned is based on the business address of the grantee organization or contractor, not the actual location where the research being performed.
?Congressional District: For the congressional district selections to display, at least one U.S. State or Territory must be selected from the State Options menu. The congressional district to which each grant is assigned is based on the business address of the grantee organization or contractor, not the actual location where the research being performed.

Project Details

?Project Number: The unique identification number assigned to each project. Use wildcard (e.g., "%R21%") if only a portion of a project number is known when searching for one or more projects.

Enter simple project numbers/SM application IDs

?Exclude Subprojects: On selection, Subprojects will not be shown on hit list.
?Project Start Date: Date the project began.You can manually enter the date or click the calendar icon to bring up the calendar date selector.
Search will show the projects that began on or after the selected date.
?Project End Date: Date the project ended.You can manually enter the date or click the calendar icon to bring up the calendar date selector.
Search will show the projects that ended, or are expected to finish, on or before the selected date.
